a) Tuesdays: Traditional Dinner
Every Tuesday there is a reunion in the school’s cafeteria, in one of the host family’s houses or a kitchen that could be rent from a restaurant to approach the interesting diversity of Panamanian cuisine.
b) Wednesdays; Free Movie Nights/ Poker
Every Wednesday all students are welcomed to watch a movie in the TV & Chill out area. Cinema fans can also take part in the discussion after the movie. This is a great chance to improve speaking abilities by for example defending one’s point of view or arguing.
c) Daily Yoga classes
Every week the students can participate in Ashtanga, Hatha, Vinyasa, Anusara or Restorative Yoga sessions. Daily yoga classes are organized by different members of the community in Bocas del Toro.
d) Thursdays: Charity & Theme parties
The perfect chance for those who don’t have time to take part in a volunteer program but still want to make a positive impact while being in Panama! Apart from socializing with fellow students, volunteers and staff members from the school everyone can take the chance to support a local cause while studying Spanish in Bocas del Toro!
e) Weekends Get-Together: Parties, Meals Out, Sport Matches…
As the average age of the staff is around 28 a lot of entertaining and diverse activities outside the classroom are foreseen.
f) Saturdays: free Latin dance classes/ conversation classes
The dancing lessons on Saturdays are free of charge for the language students. The basic steps of Salsa and Merengue are taught. Feel the rhythm of South America!
Staying with a local guest family is strongly recommended. The host families have been carefully selected and are regularly reviewed and checked by the staff. The homes are located at a short walking distance or 20 minutes bus ride from the language institute. The student will be accommodated in a private room and will be provided breakfast and dinner every day. While staying with a local family the student will be introduced into the traditional habits and costumes of Panama will get to know the daily routine of a family living there and will get the chance to improve his Spanish while practicing the acquired skills daily! Sharing the home with a guest family while learning Spanish will offer a true and authentic culture immersion and definitely be a once in lifetime experience!

*Homestay setup fee: USD 75 includes pick up in David (either at the airport or public dock) and transportation to the student’s host family house in Boquete. If students arrive to David out of office hours (before 8.00 am or after 5.30 pm. Then the pick up can be arranged for an additional USD 10)
