Internships in Quito/Ecuador
Connecting Worlds can organise internships for anyone interested in gaining some kind of experience or training in Ecuador. The number of placements for our internships is not limited and almost every field of study is available.
The idea is for interns to gain valuable working experience for their CVs or perhaps even for university credit. Unlike a volunteer, the idea is that interns learn valuable skills or techniques which will serve for future employment opportunities within a particular industry or trade.
An internship organised by Connecting Worlds provides interns with valuable working opportunities in real work environments, as well as the chance to significantly improve Spanish language skills.
The internships offered by Connecting Worlds are non-paid due to strict regulations of the Ecuadorian Government regarding the work of foreigners in local companies. The other reason is that the main objective of the Internship is the international education and the learning experience.
Payment is separated into two stages. The first is the registration fee which you send through with your application. The second fee known as the program fee is due once your internship has been completely arranged. Internships can last for anything between one to six months and multiple internships in multiple destinations is also possible.

One of the main touristic attractions and pretty interesting fact is its 0-0-0 latitude: Quito is exactly the middle of the world! It is one of the few places in the world where you can take a picture with one foot in each hemisphere. The history of this city can be felt in many of its streets. The Historical Center is a 100% must see in your visit. Narrow streets, buildings of volcanic rocks, museums, monasteries and baroque and gothic churches are like a time-travel experience. In Quito, art is in the air: public spaces, museums, galleries, theatres and squares with cultural activities are everywhere. Biking, climbing and hiking are some of the sports you can practice in the green areas around the city. There is always something to explore in Quito! Are you ready?
