Connecting Worlds can organise internships for anyone interested in gaining some kind of experience or training in Bolivia. The number of placements for our internships is not limited and almost every field of study is available.

The idea is for interns to gain valuable working experience for their CVs or perhaps even for university credit. Unlike a volunteer, the idea is that interns learn valuable skills or techniques which will serve for future employment opportunities within a particular industry or trade.

An internship organised by Connecting Worlds provides interns with valuable working opportunities in real work environments, as well as the chance to significantly improve Spanish language skills.

The internships offered by Connecting Worlds are non-paid due to strict regulations of the Bolivian Government regarding the work of foreigners in local companies. The other reason is that the main objective of the Internship is the international education and the learning experience.

Payment is separated into two stages. The first is the registration fee which you send through with your application. The second fee known as the program fee is due once your internship has been completely arranged. Internships can last for anything between one to six months and multiple internships in multiple destinations is also possible.

Cochabamba

Cochabamba, one of the most important cities of Bolivia, also known as the gastronomical capital of the country, is a place that can be enjoyed all year round. The city is located in the center of Bolivia, at 2558 meters above sea level. The Kanatas --the civilization that lived there before the arrival of the Spanish settlers-- called this land q'ochapanpa(q'ocha =puddle; panpa =plain). Later on, the settlers hispanicized its name and turned it into Cochabamba. There are plenty of historical places in which you can learn about Bolivias history. Cochabamba is a quiet city known for its outgoing and gentle citizens. Placed at the final part of the Andes, the city is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes of all kinds: mountains, lakes, plains and deep forests. For more information about Cochabamba please visit this LINK

Sucre

Sucre is not only the constitutional capital of Bolivia but also the oldest city in the country: it was founded in 1538. Since its foundation, Sucre has been the main city of Bolivia, home to the countrys most important personalities and crucial decision-making. It is for that reason that some people consider the city as a living history museum. Located in a plain zone in the middle of the country, the climate abruptly changes between day and night. For more information about Sucre please visit thisLINK
